This is on the road to Bryce Canyon, another of the "must see" sights in Utah. Even the road to it is lovely to look at.
The rock formations in Bryce Canyon are fantastic both in shape and colour.
Wonderful curlicues and shapes.
The distinctive shapes, due to geological structures are called hoodoos, formed by wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors. Bryce sits at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion Canyon.
