A few sights/sites after Las Vegas

We have not had a chance to update the blog although we have been far and wide across Nevada, a little bit of Arizona and then on to fabulous, under-rated Utah.

Wi-fi opportunities have been a little scarce, as has time to spend on the computer.  Though I have to note here our gratitude to McDonalds who make free, reliable wi-fi free to customers, as well as clean toilets.  But due to time limitation it is often a choice of looking at e-mails on the iphone or plugging in the netbook to do the blog.  The emails usually win.

The above photo is of photogenic Red Rock Canyon just 15 miles from Las Vegas.  We took many photos but with other fabulous places to follow we did not want to cram the blog.  This one shot will have to suffice.
We visited Hoover Dam, once the tallest and biggest dam ever built.  China has now eclipsed it since but it is still an impressive engineering feat.

Posted by PicasaA shot of the dammed, mighty Colorado River below.
