Still among the hoodoos, we did a 6 mile hike that combined the Queens Garden with the Navajo trail.
The Queens Garden is so called because of this distinctive hoodoo which resembles Queen Victoria in her very familar pose.
The Navajo trail is a fairly strenuous 1.5 mile loop into the canyon. The trail drops steeply in a series of tight switchbacks before entering a narrow steep walled gorge called Wall Street.
Nikki completed this hike and it was TOUGH.
Another shot of Wall Street. The brochure advised going in a clockwise direction which meant ascending Wall Street which we did, but many others took the opposite direction and went downwards and ascended the longer but less steep side at the Queens Garden end and walked down Wall Street rather than walk up it.
